On Thursday, WWE confirmed the latest match to be added to the Extreme Rules card and it will feature the top prize on the SmackDown brand.
Roman Reigns will make his next Universal Title defense against Finn Balor at the show. This comes just 6 days removed from Reigns beating Balor to retain the title on SmackDown. After the match, WWE played a heart-beat sound, which made fans think Balor will portray βThe Demonβ in their next match. That has yet to be confirmed, but it certainly looks like the way the company is going.
WWE holds the Extreme Rules pay-per-view event on Sunday, September 26, 2021 in Columbus, Ohio at the Nationwide Arena, which will air on Peacock. Here is the updated card:
WWE Universal Championship Match:
Roman Reigns (champion) vs. Finn Balor
