Wardlow’s stock continues to rise and tonight on AEW Dynamite, he will take on CM Punk.
WrestleVotes is reporting that WWE has their eye on Wardlow and they are extremely interested in signing him when his AEW contract expires.
WrestleVotes tweeted, “With his biggest match to date happening later tonight, I can confirm, without hesitation, that WWE will be extremely interested in luring Wardlow away from AEW when his contract is due. There are several people within World Wrestling Entertainment that LOVE his potential.”
It’s unclear when Wardlow’s deal expires but many AEW wrestlers signed 3 year deals in 2019. Wardlow made his debut in the latter part of 2019 so it’s possible that he could become a free agent later this year.
Wardlow appears to be breaking away from MJF soon to embark on a singles babyface run and many in AEW see the potential in him as well.
