Bobby Lashley retained his WWE Championship against Keith Lee on Monday Night Raw but there was a big return after the match.
Goldberg’s music played and he walked out to the ring for the first time since his loss to Drew McIntyre in January. The news of Goldberg’s return first broke last week and he is part of the plan to bring back big names during the build for SummerSlam.
Goldberg told Lashley, “I’m Next!” but MVP told Lashley that now is not the time so officially the challenge has not been accepted.
Earlier in the show, John Cena appeared to shoot on Roman Reigns. As things stand right now, the top matches for SummerSlam are Cena vs. Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship, Goldberg vs. Lashley for the WWE Championship and Edge vs. Seth Rollins.
