WWE In Talks To Bring WrestleMania To London

WWE is discussing the possibility of bringing WrestleMania to London.

Talk of the biggest show of the year coming to the UK has been rife over the last few years. John Cena made a shock appearance at Money in the Bank last year. He floated the idea of WrestleMania coming to the English capital.

WWE held shows in Cardiff, London and Glasgow since 2022. It seems a matter of time before London becomes the first non-North American city to host WrestleMania.

Triple H and Nick Khan flew to London recently, meeting up with Sadiq Khan. They met the Mayor of London to discuss their shared ambition to bring WrestleMania to London. This was reported by Fightful Select, and the trio have since gone public about their meeting.

They reported that Sadiq Khan said that he met with Triple H and Nick Khan this week. They met up with a view of making London “WrestleMania’s first international destination”.

“I am delighted to have met with WWE Hall of Famer Paul “Triple H” Levesque and WWE President Nick Khan today.” Sadiq Khan said. “To discuss how we can work to make London WrestleMania’s first international destination.

“London has great pedigree in hosting the biggest international sporting events from around the globe – and I’m determined to cement our city’s reputation as the undisputed sports capital of the world, as we work together for a better London for everyone.”

“It’s exciting to be working with the WWE team. The meeting was really productive, and talks will continue about how we could turn our ambition into a reality.”

Triple H On WWE Bringing WrestleMania To London

WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H also spoke about bringing WrestleMania to London. He cited events in places like Australia and Saudi Arabia as record-breaking events, creating an even bigger appetite for the event in London.

WWE and London have a long and successful history dating back many decades, and meeting with Sadiq Khan to discuss what the future of this partnership could bring has been excellent. This year alone WWE has taken record-breaking events around the world to Australia, France, Scotland, Saudi Arabia and Canada – the appetite from the fans is there, and the excitement from the Mayor and his team in London is palpable.”
