WWE Botches Bayley’s Entrance During 9/27 SmackDown

WWE is a well-oiled machine and there are a lot of gears going at the same time. There are also times when things don’t work 100% correctly, and it appears that Bayley’s entrance this week could have used another round of rehearsals.

During the September 27 WWE SmackDown, Bayley and Naomi threw down in a #1 contender match to determine who would face Nia Jax at Bad Blood. This was a match that WWE promoted ahead of time, so it’s not like things were thrown together at the last minute.

Much to the surprise of fans at home, WWE played Bayley’s music, but they also used Bayley’s video while she was with Damage CTRL as the video package on the big screens. This error was corrected quickly, as it was replaced by a SmackDown logo, but it certainly made the live USA Network broadcast.

Bayley won that match against Naomi on SmackDown, and she punched her ticket to a WWE Women’s Title match at Bad Blood on October 5 against Nia Jax. Although it didn’t stop her from winning, that intro mess-up during Bayley’s entrance video threw a lot of fans off. Tickets to the Bad Blood premium live event in Atlanta’s State Farm Arena are still available on TicketMaster.

This is a notable botch due to Bayley’s history in WWE. She was aligned with Damage CTRL, as she started the stable. Then they ejected her and started a program with IYO Sky that lasted through WrestleMania 40. We will have to see if this is a tease for anything down the line, but it’s likely just a big botch.

We will keep an eye on this story for more updates. You never know what will happen next, but we will be here with the headlines you need here at Ringside News.
