Two Title Matches Set For NJPW Destruction In Kobe

Two title matches have been announced for NJPW Destruction in Kobe.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling confirmed that Tetsuya Naito will defend the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Great-O-Khan at the event on September 29.

The announcement, courtesy of NJPW’s website, is as follows:

“The IWGP World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line when Tetsuya Naito defends against Great-O-Khan. Though falling short of the G1 at the playoff stage, O-Khan did hold a final league night victory over Naito, and reasserted his championship claim in performances in Ryogoku Sumo Hall on closing weekend. O-Khan has said that his true vision as KOPW Champion and as someone ‘to surpass Antonio Inoki’ will be solidified when he becomes IWGP World Heavyweight Champion- will this be the night the Dominator takes over the world?”

Plus, David Finlay will defend the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship against YOSHI-HASHI, who pinned the champion in a six-man tag team match at the NJPW G1 Climax 34 event on August 18.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
