Top AEW star apparently not happy about wrestling on Rampage

Former WWE star Andrade El Idolo is apparently not too happy about being booked to wrestle on AEW Rampage this week…or at least it looks that way based on his Twitter activity.

Andrade liked a tweet from a fan that read, “why you let @AEW put @AndradeElIdolo on Friday Night Heat I mean Rampage.”

The “Friday Night Heat” reference is a reference to the old WWF “Sunday Night Heat” show that started out strong but fizzled within a couple of months and it was clear that it was just a B-show. Tony Khan has stated several times that AEW Rampage is considered an “A” show on the same level as Dynamite.

Andrade was originally supposed to wrestle PAC at AEW All Out but outside issues forced the company to postpone the match. Dave Meltzer reported last week that PAC was scrapped from the show for the same reason as why Sasha Banks has been off WWE TV. AEW’s storyline explanation is that someone canceled PAC’s flight.

During a backstage segment at All Out, Andrade said that he was at the show to fight and it was hinted that Chavo Guerrero may have canceled the flight. There were rumors backstage at All Out that Ric Flair will be coming in soon to replace Guerrero as Andrade’s manager.
