The Outrunners Comment On Earning The Respect Of FTR, Deonna Purrazzo Talks AEW Goals

During a recent appearance on “The Wrestling Classic” podcast, AEW wrestler Deonna Purrazzo commented on her goals in the AEW women’s division, wanting to become AEW Women’s World Champion, and more.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On wanting to become AEW Women’s World Champion: “Well yeah, of course I want to become a world champion there. You know, I was kind of screwed out of the AEW Women’s World Championship earlier this year, so Mariah May, I’m coming for you. But, we’ve seen so many strides in our women’s division and I think ultimately at the end of the day, championship or not, to continue to grow a division, to be main event caliber, to show that women deserve more opportunities, women are worthy of main event situations, that’s the ultimate goal for me.”

On how AEW will continue to grow: “AEW is only five years old, so there’s so much more growing that we’re going to do in the next year, but think in the next five years. To continue to create situations where women can thrive and tell stories that show women deserve higher positions on the card, that’s my ultimate goal in any company that I’m in.”

During a recent virtual signing with Captain’s Corner, The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum) commented on working with FTR in AEW and earning their respect.

You can check out some highlights from the virtual signing below:

On working with FTR: “We earned a measure of their respect. They got some of ours. Now we’re learning a little bit from FTR, but guess what? They’re learning a little bit from us too. I think the four of us together, that could be a hell of a team.”

On what will happen when they collide with FTR: “These two worlds collide, FTR and Outrunners. You’re gonna need yourself a hot set of shades or maybe even a blast shield when those worlds collide.”

The Outrunners have reportedly been signed to contracts with AEW.
