The latest on The Undertaker’s WrestleMania status

There’s a brief update on The Undertaker in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

As of right now, WWE’s internal card for WrestleMania still does not include The Undertaker. At one point, they were looking at him as a potential opponent for Batista but, as you saw this week on Monday Night Raw, it is now obvious that they are moving forward with Batista vs. Triple H. The seeds were first planted for that match last October during the Evolution reunion on SmackDown 1000.

It is odd that much of the card for WrestleMania is not set in stone because WWE usually has things mapped out by December. That is not the case this year. We still don’t know who John Cena will be facing and there is no obvious opponent for Taker.

In related news, Taker continues to do non-WWE appearances. He recently did another long out-of-character interview with Pastor Ed Young. Click here to see the entire interview.

Taker is also scheduled for Starrcast II in Las Vegas during AEW Double Or Nothing weekend.
