Tessa Blanchard: Fans Bring Me Bread At The Shows In Mexico

Tessa Blanchard is very happy that fans bring her bread to events.

The former TNA World Champion has wrestled in Mexico regularly in the last few years. Walking out on TNA as their champion following the pandemic burnt her bridges with the promotion, with AEW and WWE also not interested in signing her.

However, she has found a new home in Mexico, with some amazing food to experience.

Tessa Blanchard recently spoke with George McKay of Straight Talk Wrestling, and spoke about her favorite foods while living in Mexico.

She noted that she loves the bread in Mexico City, something that the fans have noticed. Tessa Blanchard added that fans bring her sweet bread to shows, which left her with 27 conchas in her hotel room.

“I’ve been living in Mexico City for about a month now. Before that, I was just traveling back and forth, living out of a hotel for two or three weeks at a time.”

“My favorite food in Mexico comes from Guadalajara, Jalisco. It’s called carne en su jugo, which is like a soup, but it has so much flavor. It has beef and bacon in it. Carne en su jugo is a famous dish in Jalisco. Another dish I love is tortas ahogadas, which is like a sandwich but more like a baguette. It has pork inside and is drenched in salsa—oh, it’s so good!”

“The bakeries, the panaderías in Mexico are amazing; everything is fresh every day. I always go for conchas, which is like a sweet bread. There are so many different kinds. Now, everyone in Mexico knows I love anything from the bakery, so fans bring me bread to the shows. After one meet and greet, I ended up with 27 conchas in my hotel room, and I was like, ‘What am I going to do with this?’

“I don’t look bad, but I look like I ate a whole bakery.”
