WWE taped another round of NXT TV at Full Sail University on Wednesday night. Early in the show, Velveteen Dream mentioned that he won the World Collide tournament and he would be cashing in on his title opportunity.
Dream opted not to challenge for the NXT Championship but he decided to challenge for Johnny Gargano’s NXT North American Championship. Dream won the title to become the champion but Gargano attacked him after the match and he stole the title.
The tapings ended with Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa posing at the top of the stage with Gargano holding the North American Title and Ciampa hold the NXT Championship. There was a glance from Gargano to Ciampa’s title just as he did at the end of TakeOver: Phoenix so it looks like Gargano might want to go after Ciampa’s title soon, perhaps at TakeOver: New York during WrestleMania weekend.
