After many weeks of being off TV, Shayna Baszler made her return this week on WWE Monday Night Raw.
It happened during a comedy segment between R-Truth and Akira Tozawa, who had his ninjas with him.
The segment turned serious when Baszler’s music played and she took out the ninjas. Truth and Tozawa left the ring to avoid a confrontation.
Baszler grabbed the microphone and said she would be giving a reality check to the women on Raw. There was no hint on who she might be feuding with next.
It has been reported for months by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Baszler has been due for a big push with Paul Heyman backing her but Vince McMahon was not a fan of her.
Baszler was originally booked to win the Women’s Royal Rumble but McMahon changed those plans. Baszler was also booked to win the Women’s Money In The Bank match and those plans changed as well. Becky Lynch also pushed to lose the Raw Women’s Championship to Baszler at WrestleMania.
Baszler’s segment on Raw looks to be the start of a push.
Another name who has been off TV for a while is Bianca Belair. She returned this week to team up with Ruby Riott. They defeated The IIconics in a tag team match.
