For several months, LA Knight had been chasing Logan Paul and the United States title.
The two stars finally got to wrestle each other in a one-on-one match at the SummerSlam Premium Live Event this weekend. After a hard-fought battle, the Megastar hit the Blunt Force Trauma finisher and pinned Logan Paul to capture his first major title on the main roster.
After seeing the Megastar capturing the United States Championship, former WWE World Tag Team Champion Hurricane Shane Helms took to social media to share his thoughts on the win. Helms took to Twitter to reflect on their journey together in pro wrestling.
Helms mentioned that he had seen the progress of the Megastar and appreciated his never-say-quit attitude. He also told LA Knight that he earned the United States Championship.
“Very proud of this dude. From our time together in TNA, to a one off match in the Indies, to WWE, I’ve seen the progress, the work and the “never say quit” attitude. You’ve definitely earned this buddy!! #YEAH,” Hurricane Shane Helms tweeted.
The Maverick Logan Paul also took to Twitter to reflect on his run as the United States Champion.
“279 days as United States Champion, the 3rd longest US Title reign in WWE history. I really gave it my all in my hometown, it was a dream performing at the stadium where I grew up watching the Browns play. SummerSlam 2024 was a fkn BANGER all the way through… I’m so honored to be a part of this great company @WWE. Congratulations @RealLAKnight , I’ll be in touch about my broken truck. Roman Reigns is back ?,” Logan Paul tweeted.
