Rhea Ripley Says The WWE x Call of Duty Collaboration Came As A Surprise For Her

WWE has been in the video game world for over two decades with their wrestling games. In recent years, fans have also gotten more opportunities to play as their favorite pro wrestling characters outside the realm of WWE games.

The latest collaboration to hit the market is with Activision and Call of Duty: WarZone and Modern Warfare 3. The WWE Superstars in the game are the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes, Rey Mysterio, and former WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley.

Recently, while speaking to Jose Gonzalez for PWMania, Rhea Ripley shared that the collaboration came as a surprise to her, despite her admitting that part of that might have been her own doing. She is also happy with how the game came out to be.

“Honestly, I don’t know how it came to be. Work, they pretty much messaged me and they’re like, ‘Yeah, we want you to go do scans for this game.’ Didn’t really tell me too much about it and I was like, ‘All right. Say less.’ So, I went and did it. And then, next minute, when I’m injured, I’m doing voiceovers for it. And I mean, it came out amazingly. But it was not only a surprise to everyone, but it was sort of like a surprise for me too. I don’t know if I just wasn’t listening to what it was actually for or if they told me properly. But, it’s cool. And I’m down for it,” Rhea Ripley said.
