A photo of Elias that is being used in the upcoming 2K22 video game appears to confirm one of the ideas scrapped for WWE star Elias.
For months, WWE hyped that Elias would return with a revamped character and it looked like he was dropping the guitar and all of the musical parts of his act.
It was later reported by WrestleVotes that Vince McMahon nixed plans for his return because his initial rebranding looked too similar to Randy Savage with his beard and colorful trunks.
There’s no word on where things stand right now with Elias but the photo below confirms that at one point, the idea was for him to return with the colorful trunks. Ringside News reported in December that Elias had shaved his beard and cropped his hair so they were trying out new things with him but he has yet to make his return to television.
