Natalya Comments On Her WWE Return: It’s Always Nice To Be Back Home

This Monday Night, the Red Brand, Raw took place live from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. One of the matches of the night was a six-woman tag team match between the Pure Fusion Collective and the team of Lyra Valkyria, Zelina Vega, and a mystery partner. The mystery was revealed to be Calgary’s own Natalya.

The Queen of Harts made her return to WWE Television after almost four months. Her last match prior to this past Monday Night was back in June on NXT. Natalya managed to lock in the Sharpshooter forcing Zoey Stark to tap out.

During a recent interview on Growing Up Von Erichs, Natalya shared her thoughts on her return. She was happy to return to her hometown and compete in front of her whole family.

“Yesterday, Monday Night Raw, I made my return back to the ring. I took the summer off, I was working on a couple of projects. We were back in Calgary, and that’s where my family started. It was so cool to make my re-debut in WWE back in Calgary. My whole family was there, Bret (Hart) was on Raw. I was able to win my match for my team. It was cool. It’s always nice to be back home,” Natalya said. [H/T Fightful.com]

Natalya reflects on her first WWE appearance following her return on WWE Raw

Following her match on Raw, the Queen of Harts shared the story about her first appearance on WWE TV. She mentioned that her return on this past Monday’s episode of Raw was a full-circle moment.

“My very first time in a @wwe ring was in 1997 at the IN YOUR HOUSE Canadian Stampede PPV in Calgary. It was the last time my whole family was together. Last night was a full circle moment, being back in that same building, with @BretHart, The Hart family and my @wwe family. Performing in Calgary means so much to me because it’s where it all began for the Harts. It was a night I’ll cherish forever,” Natalya tweeted.
