MVP Makes AEW Debut At Grand Slam, Interrupts Prince Nana

At AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, Prince Nana was interviewed by Tony Schiavone to give an update on the condition of Swerve Strickland. Nana was in good spirits, but specified it isn’t time for Swerve to be back in action, stating “Swerve, he means a lot to me. Mentally, there is nothing that can stop the most dangerous man in AEW. But physically, he is not cleared to come back. But he is fighting every day for each and every one of you.”

That is when a surprising interruption took place as MVP made his All Elite Wrestling debut to come out and take over the proceedings.

MVP hyped up Swerve, running down his accolades with victories over various names and his 8 month long winning streak. But he also saw the low points of losing the title and Strickland’s childhood home burning down. He said,

“And I have to ask you, the man who beat Swerve for the title, why is he walking around talking about it smiling? The man that burned his childhood home to the ground, why is he not in the goddamn ICU? See I don’t see any of that as a failure on Swerve. No, I know how good he is. I see that as a failure on his management. Management more concerned with selling coffee and shuckin’ and jivin’ dancing for these people. Ooooh take it easy, it’s not that kind of party. What I want you to do is let Swerve know when he’s ready to be taken seriously again, when he’s ready to ascend to the mountain top where he belongs….please give him my business card, and let him know I’ll be ready to talk BUSINESS.”
