Mick Foley almost wrestled MJF in his final wrestling match.
The WWE Hall of Famer shocked the wrestling world last year when he announced he was training for one final match. He hasnāt wrestled since competing in the 2012 Royal Rumble match, with the Hardcore Legendās last singles match being against Ric Flair in TNA.
Sadly, he had to call off plans for one last match due to concussion issues in April. However, he did reveal in a recent interview with Nickel City Comic-Con via Fandom Spotlite (H/T to Andrew Thompson/Post Wrestling), about whom that final opponent could have been.
Mick Foley revealed that he met with MJF, who had six weeks of TV planned for that final outing. He said that he could have done something āpretty coolā with the former AEW Champion, although that match will now never happen.

He also fired a playful shot at Matt Cardona, who said he wanted to retire Mick Foley.
āMan, when I was thinking of having that last match, Iāll tell you what, when I announced that intention, there were no shortage of people from every promotion reaching out to me and one guy I probably would have gone with because heād clearly done some thinking about it and lined out six great weeks of TV was MJF.ā Mick Foley said.
āWe didnāt take a photo together because we didnāt wanna ruin the secret meeting but, I heard what he had to say, I really liked it. I had no doubt that he would have pulled it off perfectly and you know, heās so good and in his prime that he could have worked around my weaknesses and played to my strengths and I think we could have done something pretty cool. MJF. Final answer. Take that, Matt Cardona.ā
Foley ultimately called off his last match for health reasons. Earlier this year, Foley was experiencing concussion-like symptoms and made the decision after consulting with doctors.
