Kevin Nash: Vince McMahon And Mr. McMahon Are Separate, I Can Only Go By My Relationship With Him

Kevin Nash thinks that Mr McMahon and Vince McMahon are not one and the same.

Talk about the former WWE Chairman has exploded in the past week. Since the release of the Mr McMahon documentary on Netflix, discussion about the differences between the character and the real man have been rife.

Kevin Nash weighed in on the top on his Kliq This podcast (H/T to Fightful for the transcription). The WWE Hall of Famer revealed that he thinks they are two separate entities, based on his dealings with Vince McMahon.

“I think they’re separate. I can only go by my experience and my relationship with him. The last time he and I talked was at Paul’s (Levesque aka Triple H) 50th (birthday). There was a lot of family there. The Kliq and I think Dave Bautista was one of the only other boys that were there. We talked about a bunch of different shit. Still asking him for advice on a couple of things. ‘How did you get from here.’ You don’t have a lot of billionaire friends.”

Kevin Nash: Vince McMahon Was A Father Figure

Kevin Nash continued speaking about how Vince McMahon was a father figure to wrestlers like John Cena and The Undertaker. He went on to call McMahon his friend, stating that “he’s still my friend” despite the allegations aimed at the former WWE boss.

“Undertaker makes a reference that he’s a father figure.” Kevin Nash said. “(John) Cena makes a reference that he’s a father figure. Anybody that had that kind of relationship with him at the highest level…Mark (Callaway aka Undertaker) had it for 30 years, John had it for 10 to 15. I only had it for a year, just every day being at TV when nobody else would get to see Vince, you can just walk in. To have that relationship with him. I’d go there sometimes and want to see Vince. Just showing up at TV, and there would be this fucking line of people. I’d cut the line. I’d never bother him close to show time. And I always got a chance to see him because he was my friend. He’s still my friend.”
