Jade Cargill Welcomes Chance To Get More Reps And Experience With NXT Appearance

Jade Cargill welcomes the chance to work in NXT.

WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard spoke with WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Jade Cargill. Cargill was asked if she’d be interested in appearing on NXT (in addition to being part of the SmackDown roster) to get more in-ring experience. Cargill said she’d welcome the opportunity if it were presented to her.

Would Jade Cargill want to appear in NXT?

“I wouldn’t mind it, just to get the reps and the experience, at all. I know that’s one of the things that I mentioned in the very beginning before I even started, was going back and forth fluctuating,” Cargill said. “Right now, working with the EST, I don’t think that’s going to happen any time soon. But if it happens, I welcome it. We are all here to work and we are all here to get reps.”

As it turns out, Cargill and Bianca Belair will appear in NXT. The pair are advertised for the NXT premiere on the CW on October 1. The Women’s Tag Team Champions’ appearance was teased last week before Shawn Michaels made things official.

A Main Talking Point

During an interview with Rick Ucchino for The Takedown on SI, Belair and Cargill were asked about their vision for their title reign. Belair said they aim to elevate the division and have it be one of the main talking points, and bring everyone up with them.

“We’re just looking to elevate this division and have it be one of the main talking points,” Bianca Belair said. “Let a tag team be the face of WWE. I’ve been fortunate enough to feel like I’m one of the faces of WWE, as a singles competitor. But [I want to] have a Women’s Tag Team be the face of WWE. I look at things Beth Phoenix and Nattie did as a tag team and how you look back in history and you remember them as a tag team, and as singles too, but as a tag team.

“I want people to look at Jade and I, and remember our tag team as a force to be reckoned with and something that goes down in the history books as doing amazing things. Along with everyone else in this tag division.”
