In a recent interview with “Barstool Wrestling,” WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan was asked if he still keeps in touch with current wrestlers.
Hogan confirmed that he does and mentioned that he recently spoke to Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes and former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho.
According to Hogan, Jericho told him that they’ve paid homage to him in their acts, explicitly referencing “Hollywood Hogan ’96.”
He said, “Yeah. I’ll hit Cody [Rhodes] up, or we’ll talk, you know. He wears that weightlifting belt and stuff like that. I talk to a lot of the guys like Chris Jericho. He’s a good friend of mine. He goes, ‘Well, I’m just doing Hollywood Hogan ’96.’ I said, ‘You’re doing a good job, brother.’ So I talk to a lot of the young guys. They’re still running around.”
Jericho has incorporated Hogan’s famous catchphrase, “That does it for me, brother,” into his Learning Tree character on AEW television.
