FTR Pulled from Indie Event Due to Hurricane Helene

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler have earned a reputation as one of the most accomplished tag teams of the past decade in professional wrestling, but they are still human and have to adhere to the rules of Mother Nature. That’s why it’s no surprise they have been pulled from an indie event because of Hurricane Helene.

Hurricane Helene has created major disruptions in the professional wrestling scene, impacting various events. One notable consequence is the cancellation of a Fozzy concert that Chris Jericho was set to perform. Additionally, TNA Wrestling initially rescheduled their upcoming shows in Spartanburg but has since decided to cancel those planned events entirely.

Prestige Wrestling took to Twitter and announced that due to Hurricane Helene, FTR will not be able to make it to the event. They have communicated with Dax Harwood, who confirmed that they are safe, but it is impossible for them to reach the airport. FTR was supposed to square off against Midnight Heat but has now been replaced by SCU’s Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian.

”ROSELAND 9 UPDATE Due to the effects of Hurricane Helene we must announce that FTR will not make it to the event. We have spoken with Dax & they are safe but it is impossible for them to make it to the airport. The new card is attached below with match changes & updates!”

This is truly unfortunate news for fans of FTR who wanted to see the former AEW World Tag Team Champions in action. Nonetheless, we will have to wait and see if FTR will get the chance to compete in the promotion somewhere down the line.
