Early WWE Raw preview: Randy Orton vs. Big Show, Extreme Rules fallout

WWE is back with another episode of Monday Night Raw tonight from Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center on the USA Network.

There has only been one match announced for the show. This will be the post-Extreme Rules edition of the red brand. It will also start the build towards the SummerSlam pay-per-view event that goes down next month.

The company should be announcing more things for the show this afternoon as the show gets closer.

Randy Orton vs. Big Show in an unsanctioned match has been confirmed for the broadcast. As noted, WWE saved this match for Raw instead of booking it for Extreme Rules as a way to hopefully boost viewership, which has been falling to new record lows over the last few months.

The belief is that WWE will follow-up on two interesting finishes to top matches at Extreme Rules including Rey Mysterio’s eye injury after his Eye for an Eye Match against Seth Rollins. For the latest on Mysterio’s status with WWE, click here.

Also, we will get an update regarding who is the Raw Women’s Champion after Banks pinned Asuka in their championship match when Bayley put on the referee shirt to count the pinfall. WWE.com still lists Asuka as the champion.
