AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes recently did an interview with SPORT1 in Germany where he spoke about a wide range of topics.
During the interview, he was asked about Chris Jericho, which was where he praised the current AEW World Heavyweight Champion.
He also pointed out how Jericho has been at every AEW TV event where he has served his television role but also being a helpful role backstage.
“You don’t want to praise Chris because he’s such an asshole, but you have to give him props,” Cody said. “Every week, Chris Jericho does something that reminds me of how important he is to the company – every week! He’s a huge part of this.”
Rhodes lost to Jericho in the co-main event at the AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.
