CM Punk was a recent guest on “Spiegel & Holmes on 670 The Score” to discuss a variety of topics, including his ongoing rivalry with Drew McIntyre.
Punk said, ?People enjoy a good rivalry. I think Drew is a piece of sh*t. Asking me what I think of him is kind of a loaded question. You?re not going to get me to say anything really flattering about him. It?s a good car crash. I understand, people like to watch that. They like to watch a good blood feud. I like when the Blackhawks play?they don?t really play Detroit anymore. Minnesota? I like when the Cubs play the (White) Sox, a little crosstown rivalry. I get it.?
Speaking of Drew McIntyre, he was a recent guest on SI’s “The Takedown” podcast to recall a time where he thought he broke his neck during his Hell in a Cell match against Randy Orton in 2020. He said,
?I thought I legitimately broke my neck and broke something in my back. I bit through my tongue. I was spitting up blood, which we actually incorporated into the match. It was a cool visual. Legitimately the worst fall of my life. I?ve had these conversations with some of the other guys, like Seth Rollins. If we could both take back one thing in our career, it would be falling off [Hell in a Cell]. Never mind the stuff that happened inside the cell.?
