The five year anniversary of AEW Dynamite airing this Wednesday night from the Peterson Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania will now also feature Bryan Danielson facing off against Kazuchika Okada in not just their third match, but a title-for-title scenario.
As announced on Twitter, both belts will be on the line as Danielson seeks to be a fighting champion and avenge the losses heβs taken from Okada.
However, there is a caveat to this stipulation, that many would call an instant cop-out for spoiling how this will go down. It was specified in this graphic that Okadaβs AEW Continental Championship will only be on the line in the first 20 minutes of this bout. After that point, only the AEW World Championship will be up for grabs.
That means if this goes past the 20 minute mark, Danielson beating Okada will have no effect on the Continental Championship, rendering this no longer a true title-for-title match midway through.
