AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door: MJF vs. Hechicero Result

MJF had his first pay-per-view match since his return at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, and he faced CMLL star Hechicero.

MJF was sidelined for several months after he lost the AEW World Championship at AEW Worlds End. He returned at AEW Double or Nothing before he wrestled for the first time since his comeback on the June 19 episode of AEW Dynamite. He then faced Hechicero at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

Hechicero and MJF went back and forth in a hard-fought match. Hechicero targeted MJF’s injured shoulder, but in the end, MJF scored the win with a Brainbuster.

MJF plays to his hometown crowd. Hechicero briefly takes control before MJF gets free. MJF offers a handshake and hits Hechicero with a cheap shot. He pokes Hechicero in the eyes and plays to the crowd again. Hechicero sends MJF to the outside. MJF slams Hechicero into the barricade and drills him with a boot to the face.

Hechicero takes control and targets MJF’s arm. He counters the Heatseeker and grounds MJF. Hechicero controls the action, but MJF rallies. MJF drops Hechicero with a piledriver. Hechicero catches up with a dropkick off the ropes. He traps MJF in an arm-breaker. MJF counters into the Salt of the Earth armbar. Hechicero transitions into another submission hold, but MJF reaches the ropes. MJF punches Hechicero in the corner and bites him. He hits a Brainbuster for the win.
