In the final segment of this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF delivered on his promise to give 10 lashes to Cody Rhodes. This was part of the stipulations laid out in order for Rhodes to get his match with MJF at the Revolution pay-per-view.
Some of the heels, including Buther, Blade, Bunny, Kip Sabian and Sammy Guevara walked out to the stage to watch the beating being delivered by MJF to Rhodes. Arn Anderson walked out to ringside to tell Cody not to give MJF the satisfaction. Dustin Rhodes ran down and said he would take the rest of the beating after Cody had taken about 5 lashes but MJF refused to do that. The Young Bucks also walked down to ringside.
The 9th lash was delivered by Wardlow and MJF delivered the last one across the chest before delivering a low blow and running through the crowd. A fan in the stands tried to attack MJF but MJF took him out with punches to the back of the head. If you are into old school, hardcore angles then you should watch this segment.
Rhodes will face Wardlow in two weeks inside of a steel cage on AEW Dynamite in Atlanta, GA. The Rhodes vs. MJF match will happen on Saturday, February 29 at AEW Revolution in Chicago, IL.
