Adam Copeland Makes Surprise Appearance At Percy Jackson Panel At SDCC

Adam Copeland made one of his first public appearances since his injury at San Diego Comic-Con yesterday.

The AEW star hasnā€™t been seen on TV since breaking his leg at AEW Double or Nothing. Copeland injured himself by leaping off the top of a cage, landing on Malakai Black below. He hesitated at the last second, falling directly downwards, breaking his leg in the process.

This cost him his TNT Championship, and Adam Copeland looks set to miss AEW All In at Wembley Stadium next month. However, his injury hasnā€™t stopped him from making a surprise appearance at San Diego Comic-Con.

Adam Copeland crashed the Percy Jackson and the Olympians panel yesterday in San Diego. He rolled in on his knee scooter, surprising the cast who were taking questions from the fans.

In a clip posted by Deadline Hollywood on Twitter, Adam Copeland scooted in to crash the panel. He lambasted Walker Scobell, who plays the titular character, for not mentioning their fight scene as his favorite in the series.

The AEW star plays Ares in the TV show, and he stayed in character for a moment while verbally attacking his co-star.

ā€œSo, you didnā€™t say that our battle scene was your favorite part of the season. The fact that Iā€™m here on a knee scooter, instead of a giant hog (a motorbike, not something else) between my legs, is because of you. Because you couldnā€™t control rip tide. So now, Iā€™m here with a broken leg. You didnā€™t mention me as your favorite part. Hades, how dare you play that!ā€

Copeland then broke character, revealing that none of the cast knew he was going to be there that day.

ā€œSeriously folks, Iā€™m Adam Copeland and I play Ares. They legitimately had no idea that I was going to be here. Iā€™m here, we did it!ā€

Copelandā€™s arrival wasnā€™t the only wrestling-related surprise at Comic-Con. Ronda Rousey alsoĀ announced she was expecting her second child during her own panel, which was moderated by Dave Bautista.
