Will Ospreay vs. MJF Set For 7/17 AEW Dynamite

Will Ospreay and MJF will clash on the July 17 episode of AEW Dynamite.

AEW International Champion Will Ospreay came to the ring on the July 10 episode and addressed MJF, who attacked Daniel Garcia the previous week. Ospreay said that he was appalled and disgusted by MJF’s actions, but he was not surprised. He stated that he heard rumors that MJF was one of the most insecure guys in wrestling.

Ospreay continued to take shots at MJF, noting that the bidding war of 2024 did not go MJF’s way, as Tony Khan chose someone who could “elevate” the company over someone who would better it. He emphasized that MJF was selfish, and as for his “level of the Devil” line, the champion said that he was levels above that.

Ospreay said that he had more talent in his left nut than MJF had in his body. He then called MJF out.

MJF’s music played, but he appeared on a music screen. With a glass of wine in his hand, he explained that he was a generational talent, and Ospreay was replaceable. As for Ospreay’s challenge, MJF said that he didn’t just fight for any reason; he fought for the betterment of AEW. He challenged Ospreay to a match for the AEW International Championship on the July 17 episode of AEW Dynamite.

Ospreay then accepted the challenge, so the match was set for the July 17 episode of AEW Dynamite. Tony Khan subsequently made the match official.
