WWE RAW Viewership Drops, Demo Also Down On 8/19

WWE RAW viewership decreased on August 19, when the show was up against coverage of the Democratic National Convention.

Per Wrestlenomics, RAW averaged 1.641 million viewers on Monday. This number is down from last week, when the show averaged 1.890 million viewers.

In the 18 to 49 demographic, RAW averaged a 0.50 rating, which is also down from last week (0.63 rating).

RAW ranked #2 in the demographic on cable on Monday. It ranked behind CNN’s coverage of the Democratic National Convention.

RAW’s total viewership marked its lowest number since June 10, excluding its two-week stretch on SyFy due to coverage of the Olympics. Likewise, the demographic rating marked RAW’s lowest number since June 10.

This Week’s Episode Of WWE RAW

The August 19 episode of WWE RAW kicked off with a promo by Randy Orton, and he was interrupted by Gunther. Orton then faced Ludwig Kaiser in the main event. Elsewhere on the show, Braun Strowman returned and confronted Bronson Reed.

Plus, the new Judgment Day attacked Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley, and the Wyatt Sicks appeared. Additionally, Unholy Union defended the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
