AEW’s Willow Nightingale will be in action at CMLL‘s 91st Anniversary show, as she will defend her title.
As announced on the September 4 episode of CMLL Informa, Willow Nightingale will defend the CMLL World Women’s Championship against Zeuxis at the event on September 13. Nightingale won the vacant title at CMLL x NJPW FantasticaMania USA on July 13. There, she beat Viva Van and Lluvia. She has since competed in two title eliminator matches on AEW programming. CMLL’s 91st Anniversary Show will mark her first championship defense.
Nightingale had been scheduled to defend the gold against Kris Statlander at AEW All Out. However, the title will no longer be on the line in that bout.
Chris Jericho will also be in action at CMLL’s 91st Anniversary show, as he will face Mistico. AEW star Orange Cassidy will be in action as well. He will team up with Rocky Romero and Satoshi Kojima to face Volador Jr., Atlantis Jr., and Último Guerrero.
